Allenburys I closed to within 14 points of leaders Grundy Park I with two matches in hand after a treble from Aris Kapsanakis, including a deciding set victory over previously unbeaten Sam Flaum helped them beat the leaders 8-2.  Three wins for Richard Fellows helped Grundy Park II to draw with Cheshunt I 5-5.  John Morgan of Allenburys II defeated Fred Nash 15-13 in the decider in a 5-5 draw with HRC I.
In the First division, HRC II and Pramastars I are battling it out at the top.  Rai liiv won another three as HRC II beat their closest rivals 6-4.  Rai then lost his unbeaten record to Jason Flaum as HRC II were held to a 5-5 draw at Grundy Park III.  Meanwhile Pramastars I beat St Andrews 10-0 to edge a point clear at the top.

HANDICAP TOURNAMENT
Thirty-four players entered the traditional post Christmas handicap tournament at the Cheshunt club. After coming through four rounds, Fred Burdett defeated Alex Morealle in three games to claim the title. Jason Flaum partnered John Barnes to defeat youngest son Ben and Terry Smith in the doubles.
Thanks to all players for contributing to an enjoyable evening with special thanks to Jo Swain for controlling the evening, ably assisted by Vikki Flaum.
A nominal entry of 2 per person to contribute towards hall hire was requested on the night although this may have not been well publicised. If anybody was not aware of this and hasn't paid, please pay a committee member when next passing.
 
Cup News
Handicap CUP
The HANDICAP CUP will be played as a pool system. Playing up is allowed, but once you have played for a team you cannot then play for another team. i.e. If you ar registered for third team and your first match is for the second team, that is the only team you can play for in the competition, you cannot revert to your original team.  Any clarification, please contact me.
All handicaps are on the website.  If anyone does not have a handicap, please contact me.
