Although HRC I lead the Premiership for most of the season, the matches in hand for Grundy Park I proved too much as
the champions retained their title, the most significant result, a 7-3 victory over HRC I, Martin Nash and Dave Langham both
unbeaten. Despite Fred Burdett winning all three, CheshuntI lost 6-4 to Allenburys who moved into third place.
Fred again won all three in a 5-5 draw with County Hall who just failed to overhaul Allenburys.
In Division I, Phil Gates, Paul Butler and Sharon Gillett thrashed Cheshunt II 10-0 to secure the title for Hoddesdon II
over their rivals. Grundy Park finished third, trebles for Richard Fellows and Malcolm Norris securing a 6-4 win over
fourth placed Allenburys II. Pramastars I finished bottom, 14 points behind Cheshunt III.
Hoddesdon IV saw off the challenge of Allenburys III to clinch the second division title, Allenburys defeating Grundy
Park III 6-4 in their last match to finish five points behind the winners. Pramastars lost their last match 9-1 to third
place HRC III to finish in the same position as their first team, 25 points adrift.
