League News
Champions HRC A look determined to hold onto the Premiership title, dropping just four points in four matches. Three of those came against newcomers Ellenborough who are second. Bradley Tuttle won all three including an 11-9 fifth set win over Sean Gardner but Water Lane A won 7-3 to move up to third, five points behind Ellenborough with two matches in hand.
Division 1 is a lot closer, Water Lane B just one point ahead of Grundy Park C despite a 7-3 defeat when the two met, five games going to a fifth set. HRC C are third, six points behind with a match in hand, Dave Cocks unbeaten in nine. At the bottom, HRC D and Pramastars A are both on nine points, thirteen points adrift.
David Aitken has won all twelve as Water Lane C lead Division 2, although St Andrews A are only six points behind, having played one match less. Water Lane D are bottom although Leon Dordoy & Ho Yin Leung won 11-9 in the fifth to secure a 5-5 draw at Cheshunt D.

POSTPONEMENTS!!!!!
Yes that old chestnut again. Much discussion was had at the AGM regarding the continual problem. I appreciate that sometimes hall availability may be a problem leading to rescheduling but a number of clubs have to prebook venues and postponements sometimes do not come with refunds. As has been said many times before, claiming of matches is a last resort so please try and play matches on correct dates or in free weeks.
Hopefully I will publish another literary gem before Christmas, by which time the list of postponements will not have increased but dramatically reduced (he says ever optimistically).
