First of all, may I congratulate and thank you all for completing the League Programme by April 9th, about 6-7 weeks earlier
that the previous few seasons. Well done, particularly considering the bad weather during February & March. For once, there
will be no moans regarding postponements or late re-arrangements in my AGM speech this year! WELL DONE EVERYONE!
Allenburys 1 regained the Premier Division title from previous champions Grundy Park 1, eventually winning by nine points
after 8-2 victories over both Cheshunt 1 and HRC 1, Mike Merryweather unbeaten in both including an 11-9 fifth set win over John
Barnes of HRC 1 who finished third, only 5 points behind Grundy Park 1.
Despite winning 6-4 at Pramastars 2, HRC 2 finished three points behind Pramastars 1 in Division 1. Grundy Park 3
finished third after an 8-2 win at St Andrews, Brian Jennings winning the two games for the home team, including edging out Jason
Flaum 11-9 in the deciding set.
