League News
Andy Nash (97%) and Derek Balding (94%) were instrumental in HRC A retaining the Premier Division title. They finished 15 points clear of Cheshunt B for whom Bradley Tuttle was unbeaten all season. Five points separated the bottom three. HRC B finished four points ahead of Grundy Park B who consigned Cheshunt A to last place by just one point.
Cheshunt D won Division 1 by 13 points from Water Lane B helped by Kidston B conceding both home and away matches. Whilst this may not have affected the final League positions if the matches were played, postponements/concessions are still a problem and as usual will be discussed at the AGM. Similar to the Premier Division, just one point separated the bottom two. Kidston B conceded FIVE matches in all but still finished one point above St Andrews A.
In the Second Division, Steve Prince & Mike Shakespeare were both unbeaten as Aston finished seven points ahead of Pramastars A. From memory, I cannot remember the last time a single team club won a trophy. Furneux Pelham battled hard all season.

Handicap Cup News
The Water Lane A team of John Manley, Gary Thurston & Arrow Lam retained the Hertford Builders Cup but the 9-0 scoreline did not do justice to the Cheshunt trio of Andrii Rycluk, Yehor Turchyn & Vitulii Toukes with six matches being decided in the final set.

Rule Changes
The Constitution & Rules have been around for many years and are admittedly out of date and need amending. As a League, players are probably aware of this and certain practices may not strictly adhere to what is in the handbook. I do not believe that these %93amendments%94 are to seek advantage (despite what some may believe), merely to ensure that as much as possible matches ARE played and the League retains its friendly but competitive nature. Below are the proposed rule changes which will be discussed at the AGM.

RULE CHANGES (Handbook Page 3)
13. COMPOSITION OF DIVISIONS Revised wording: Rule 13. COMPOSITION OF DIVISIONS a) No player may take part in League or Cup matches unless registered with a club in the league.
b) A player may not play for any team lower than that for which he is registered but may play for any team above his registered team.
c) A club may apply to the committee at any time for approval to transfer the registration of a%5Bplayer to a lower team, but such transfers shall not be effective until written approval has been received from the match secretary.
d) A player may be registered for one club during a season, except at the discretion of the Committee.
e) When a club has more than one team, at least three players should be registered for each team in general order of merit. If a club does not have sufficient number of players for their top team and have two or more teams in the league, then at the discretion of the Committee they can register less than three players.
f) application for registrations during the season should be made in writing to the match secretary.
